I will add new questions as they are needed. If you don't see what you need here, feel free to message me at lizstockton.starlightpen@gmail.com
What happens to my artwork once it's finished?
When your commission is finished, you will receive a full, non-watermark copy. I may use a watermarked copy as an example in the Gallery and in other social media. However, if you do not want a watermarked copy to be shared, please let me know any time during the process, even after the piece is done.
How will I receive my artwork?
Artwork will automatically be received as a pdf file, except for commercial work orders, which will receive the source file for ease in printing. If the image is traditional media then it's possible to purchase the original artwork which will be mailed by first class post.
However, if it's a digital piece, I urge you to take the finished file to a professional printer in your area and have it printed there to your specification, if only so that any print made and sent to you does not suffer accidental damage in the mailing system.
Can you give me a copy or duplicate of (previous work)?
Any personal commissions will not be redistributed without the commissioner's express commission.(I will contact them about it) If they allow it, I can sell it to you for a print price, which is lower than the commission price.
Any work I have done that wasn't a commission will be on a case-by-case basis. For example, the designs I made and am making for Shirts4Bronies I still hold rights to, and as such can redistribute them at my own discretion. However, they may not end up on shirts, hats, or any of the apparel that Shirts4Bronies supplies. This is a personal thing as I do not wish to become competition. For Homestuck, however, I may only sell unique, two-dimensional commissions.
I'm not a huge fan of a concept you've already done. Can I commission one that's a little different?
You sure can! Please keep in mind that if the previously done concept includes someone else's OC, I may contact them about it.
