Points to consider before commissioning

Special Points (where the lengthy reading lives)
  • Concerning Fanart: For now, the approach to fanart is this: I cannot reproduce original art from the show/book/movie and sell it to you. As long as you aren't asking that we're golden. Any exceptions will be put directly below.
    • Concerning Homestuck commissions: I am respecting and sticking to the rules set by the original creator of the comic, Andrew Hussie. If you want to read said rules regarding selling any and all Homestuck items, you should do so here. Basically, I cannot make reproductions of original comic art, I cannot make items that would be reproduced and resold, and I'm sorry, should we meet at a convention I cannot sell you a Homestuck print. (at least not straight from me; currently looking at other options that will not be stepping on any toes) Each Homestuck-themed commission has to be an individual sale. But maybe that's a bonus; it almost guarantees an original piece just for you!
  • Concerning OC's: I can draw you and/or your original character! If you don't have a character sheet, please give me a description and I'll do what I can with it. If it's someone else's character I may ask them before going ahead on the project. If you want me to draw you but don’t want to send a pic, again just give me a description and I’ll work with you on it.
  • Concerning "kinks": This one's a biggie. If it's fetish art I will not draw it. I'm sorry, whatever you're looking for may be perfectly innocent, but it's not just that I won't draw you porn. Honest. I truly believe I am the worst person for that kind of job. There are other talented artists online who specify in those areas and offer commissions; I respectfully suggest you try contacting one of them. I will draw cute fluffy pics, however, if that's what you're looking for.
  • Concerning online: I'll probably post a watermarked copy of your commission in the gallery and on my own social media around the same time that you are set to receive it, but you can let me know at any time before then if you want me to specifically not do that. The online version will be watermarked. You and I will have the only non-watermarked version, and my copy will never see the light of the internet
  • What tools are available: The tools under my belt are Gimp, Inkscape, Microsoft paint (depending on what aesthetic appeal you're thinking of, because your mileage may vary) and a variety of traditional media as ways to bring your design to life. If you have an idea of what may help with the piece, let me know! I'd love your input on your piece.
